The Wild Heart Alley Sweater
Discover the pleasure of Graaaou jacquard knitting, with our Allée du cœur sauvage sweaters.
This model offers a oversized leopard pattern, in two-tone or three-tone versions, for a more graphic and dynamic effect. It is an ideal project for knitters who like to play with textures and colors while remaining in a style that is both chic and original.
The sweater is knitted back and forth in jacquard with separate balls, with a 1/1 rib band on the bottom of the sweater, the cuffs and the round neckline.
Want to try jacquard with separate balls, but afraid of getting your needles tangled? Don’t panic, we’re here to guide you step by step!
To begin, choose your La Droguerie yarn blend
This pattern is knitted with a mix of 2 yarns: 1 fingering yarn Alpaca, Supernatural (merino) or Gentle Highland (pure wool) and 1 lace thread Plumette, (super fine mohair and polyamide). Choose your blend and the colors of your Allée du cœur sauvage sweater.
We take care of preparing your balls!
To support you – The Tutorial
To easily knit a jacquard with separate balls, we use bobbins on which we will wind our different colors of yarn blend. You need as many bobbins as there are color changes in the pattern. The threads will not tangle.
Read your jacquard pattern chart carefully and identify its size to know where to start.
On each row, change color by following the grid. At each color change, cross the threads carefully to avoid holes.
Here is a finished row with all the bobbins, without tangled threads.
At the end of knitting, it is advisable to weave the ends of wool onto the needle on the wrong side along the color for 2 or 3 stitches and cut them.
To your needles!
