Fluid, light, comfortable and elegant, it owes its properties to its two-material composition:
Organic cotton is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional cotton. This plant fiber comes from the cotton plant, a shrub grown in hot and humid regions. Choosing organic cotton reduces water consumption, protects the health of farmers, and preserves your sensitive skin. It's also appreciated for its softness, feel, strength, and absorbency.
Bamboo is a plant native to tropical countries (Brazil, Asia, etc.). Its growth is extremely rapid, sometimes reaching up to a meter per day. It is therefore a rapidly renewable raw material. Bamboo is thermoregulating, antibacterial, and soothing, thus improving our well-being. We love its silky appearance, softness, and comfort.
Composition
The "Fruit Salad" is made from a blend of 100% plant-based fibers (50% organic cotton - 50% bamboo). It can be replaced in your knitting projects with Kaleido (100% plant-based) and vice versa.
Technical characteristics of Fruit Salad
- Recommended needles: 4.
- Jersey sample: 10 cm = 22 sts on 30 rows.
Knit your sample and take its measurements: if it's smaller, use a larger needle, if it's larger, a smaller needle (in general, half a n° is enough). - Machine wash at 30°, tumble dry. Before washing the whole knit, try a sample.
2000 meters per kilo approx. = 100 meters (or 109 yards) in 50 grams.
