Kid Mohair is the soft hair of the young Angora goat. The hair is selected for its fineness. The result is a soft and comfortable yarn whose long hairs are brought out after spinning. Perfect for lightweight and warm projects.
Technical characteristics of Kid Mohair
- Recommended needles: 6 to 8
- Jersey sample: 10 cm = 11 sts x 15 rows
(with needles 8)
Knit your sample and take its measurements: if it is smaller, use a larger needle, if it is larger, a smaller needle (generally, half a number is enough). - Hand wash at 30°, rinse with lukewarm water, dry flat. After drying, brush lightly to bring out the hair.
Before washing the entire knit, do a test on your sample. - 1630 meters per kilo approximately, or 81 meters (or 89 yards) in 50 gr.
